About This Hymn

Psalm 25:4-5 says, "Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.  Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long."  This is a hymn to prepare our hearts to receive God's word through preaching.  In Christ-centered preaching, God invites us to behold the beauties of His Son in all the pages of Scripture.  All of the Bible is telling the wonders of the person and work of Christ and it is this great story of God's redeeming plan that transforms our lives.  No other path and no other plan can bring us back to life from our dead sinful state.  Jesus, our lowly savior and gentle friend, leads us, keeps us, and teaches us in the faith all of our days.
